Janna proudly carried the blue and gold of Santa Clara High School Bruins in the 2021 NCGA/CIF Regionals. She scored six over 78 for 15th (83 field), five strokes off the winner. This was her first time to compete in the Regionals as an individual and play at the scenic Berkeley Country Club.
Janna started off cold posting six over par on the front nine. She had bogeys on the 1st, 4th, 5th, double bogeys on the 3rd, 6th and a much needed birdie on the 8th to jump start her game. Through the back nine, she steadied her scoring with seven pars, a bogey on the 15th and a bounce back birdie on the 16th.
According to Janna, she was satisfied with her come back to finish 15th in the field.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Janna was honored Junior of the Year and First Team of SCVAL El Camino Division. Throughout the season, she was a multiple medalist in team matches, qualified in CIF CCS Sectionals and NCGA/ CIF Regionals.
This tournament ends Janna’s high school golf season. She will lead Santa Clara High School Girl’s Golf next year.
