Janna kicked off her 2022 campaign at the timeless Haggin Oaks MacKenzie Course for the JGANC Winter Shootout. This was a 36-holes, two day event. She managed to finish T6 in this 26 field tournament posting 10-over 154, five strokes off the leader.
Janna posted 4-over 76 on the first day. She was even par in front nine with birdies on the 7th and 9th, and bogeys on the 2nd and 8th. Her back nine was 4-over with a bogey on 14th and a deflating triple on the 15th. She hit the fairways 12 out of 13 times and had an impressive 15 GIR but a dismal 36 putts.
On the second day she posted 6-over 78. She was 3-over in front nine with bogeys on the 2nd and 3rd, a birdie on the 5th, and a double on the 9th. Her back nine was 3-over with bogeys on 11th, 13th, and 15th. She hit the fairways 8 out of 13 times, an excellent 14 GIR but another disappointing 36 putts.
Janna said she was happy with her ball striking both days but unsatisfied with her putting. Moving forward, she made plans on working to turn around her putting numbers as well as maintaining her impressive GIR.
