Janna was in high spirits after earning the Qualifier Medalist for a spot in the AJGA Uniqlo / Adam Scott Champion at River Ridge GC, Victoria Lakes Course. This was a 54-hole, three day event. She finished T17 in this 27 field tournament posting 18-over 234.
With slightly better weather conditions on the first day, Janna had a nervous start and played poorly posting 12-over 84. She produced two birdies on the 6th and 14th holes, held 6 pars and gave a handful of six bogeys, two doubles, and a triple. She hit the fairways 7 out of 13 times, had 12 GIR and a bloated 37 putts.
The second day had calmer conditions. Janna played better posting 5-over 77. She produced two birdies on the 3rd and 15th holes, held 9 pars but gave seven bogeys. She hit the fairways 8 out of 13 times, had 11 GIR and 35 putts.
On the final day, conditions were mixed but manageable. Janna played her best round posting 1-over 73. She produced four birdies on the 6th, 7th, 9th, 12th holes, held 10 pars but gave three bogeys and a double. She hit the fairways 8 out of 13 times, had an impressive 15 GIR and 32 putts.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Janna said she was happy that she was able to improve her scoring throughout the tournament. She was also delighted to have worked her way up on the leaderboard.
